How One Woman’s Love for Tea Sparked a Global Experience

The journey of our company began with a simple love for tea and a desire to explore its vast world. Ann Marie Kazutomi, the founder, never developed a taste for coffee and instead grew up drinking Lipton tea. It wasn’t until she married her husband, who is Japanese, that she discovered the incredible depth and variety tea had to offer. This opened her eyes to a world of flavors and traditions she never knew existed. Inspired by this revelation, she dreamed of sharing her newfound passion with others, bringing a true tea experience to the USA.

In 2001, Ann Marie opened her first tea stores in Denver, Colorado malls, offering over 400 teas, many of them her own blends. These stores quickly became beloved for their high-quality teas and dedication to helping customers discover the joys of tea. However, a car accident in 2009 forced her to close the stores, and for years she couldn't continue blending and selling her teas. Despite this setback, the demand for her unique blends never faded, and with A Tea Utopia, she now brings her vision back to life through an online platform, sharing her love for tea with the world once again.
